An option to consider when wanting other choices outside of programmatic video campaigns or programs on Google outside of Pay Per Click AdWords campaigns or Product Listing Ads on Google Shopping, which is YouTube. Google has a video specific option with their YouTube TruView platform, which is now the #2 search engine in the US, bypassing Bing and Yahoo. TruView also has some similarities to demand-side platforms (DSPs) that show videos ads on various publisher sites. For instance, both DSPs & YouTube can run mid-roll and post-roll video ads, but the most popular on either option is showing online video ads prior to watching videos, called video pre-roll.
